The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI), established in 1955, is owned by the country’s wine industry and is funded by grape growers and wineries with matching funds from the federal government. Its mission is "to advance the competitive edge of the Australian wine industry through the delivery of world class research, development, extension and service."
Wine Innovation Cluster is situated in the Waite Research Precinct, in the Adelaide suburb of Urrbrae, South Australia.
